“Self Portrait” is a multi-sensory exploration of my identity as an artist and musician. It doesn’t necessarily build a particular storyline, but instead follows a scattered collection of emotive states. The film features rapid transitions, saturated images, and musical landscapes; an overload of sensory stimuli. These details help build and evoke emotions, from lost and overwhelmed, to feeling power and control. This film provides me with a place where I can escape from reality. Through rhythms, colors, and transitions, I hope to offer viewers that same experience.
