Shazam Conner, a member of the legendary group H-Town, has officially launched his solo career with the release of single “Strokey Doke,” a collaboration with his H-Town groupmates, G.I. and the late Dino Conner.

With its authentic R&B sound, new single “Strokey Doke,” is available worldwide now, produced by Shazam and Dino. It is the first of many releases coming from Shazam Conner, who is currently penning material for a full-length solo album.

H-Town, which stands for the group’s hometown Houston, Texas, are the biggest selling independent R&B group of all time. Formed in the early 90s, by twin brothers Keven “Dino” Conner and Solomon “Shazam” Conner, along with long-time friend Darryl “G.I.” Jackson. Unfortunately, in 2003, Dino died in a tragic accident. H-Town’s debut album, ‘Fever for da Flavor’ in 1993, went platinum and topped R&B charts worldwide. The breakthrough single “Knockin’ Da Boots,” reached #1 on the R&B chart, #3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and changed the face of R&B in the early 90s. Their second album, ‘Beggin’ After Dark’ in 1994, also went gold and contained the hit single “Emotions,” which peaked at #11 on the R&B chart.
