Aviel (@AvielThePharaoh) – Chapter One

In the overcrowded hip-hop scene of Portland, Oregon, musician Aviel stands out as one of the region’s finest wordsmiths and a likely candidate for the city’s first breakout artist. Whereas most rappers strive for either potent lyricism or infectious hooks, Aviel has managed to strike a balance between the two. The result is a catalogue of quality music that can appease both the casual radio listener and the diehard hip-hop head alike. The Portland rapper has most recently displayed his unique blend of hard-hitting bars and smooth crooning on his solo debut, The Prequel. This project took the internet by storm, largely due to his collaboration with Funk Volume’s *Dizzy Wright*, and garnered Aviel numerous blog features and an online buzz.

Aviel has taken the Northwest show circuit by storm. In 2013 alone he performed alongside such national acts as Twista, Chris Webby, Wax, Baeza, M.i.C., and PAC DIV earning a solid foundation of local and online followers.

Aviel released his sophomore mixtape, Chapter One , which debuted at #30 on HotNewHipHop.com’s TOP 100.
