So one day he received a instrumental cd from a family member and began writing lyrics to them.

AMiN hails from the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. His origins were like many urban environments of the era, ripe with the crack infestation and resulting violence found in nearly every major city during the 1980’s. Fortunately, avoiding the trappings of his less than ideal living conditions and surroundings, Amin gravitated to hip-hop at an early age via the classic album: “Midnight Marauders” by A Tribe Called Quest. The passion and artistry throughout the album and specifically on such songs as “Award Tour” and “Oh My God,” left an everlasting impression on the budding M.C. Amin would go on to be heavily influenced by the likes of Nas, Notorious BIG, Jay-Z and DMX; whose music provided him with a personal connection, which is the same connection he aims to afford his audience.
