Just 3 months after dropping the T.A.L.I. Entertainment/UGK Record’s release Maybe It’s The Swagg with his brother B.Jayy, rapper TRU-G steps back out solo. With the first two tracks on the mixtape TRU-G makes it clear that many things have changed in the past three months. Most notable being that he no longer carries the UGK Records flag, and is focused on his T.A.L.I. Entertainment brand. TRU-G goes back to doing what his core fan base expects from him on this project street stories and club bangas. Whether you prefer songs like Me Against World or Make A Toast where he bears it all on soulful tracks. Or maybe the songs Something Like A Pimp, and Liquor In My System which are guaranteed to make the club move, the CROWN ME mixtape has something for everybody. When asked what was the goal of this project TRU-G responded “I just wanted to get back to telling stories and making good music. And let people know with or without a label T.A.L.I. Entertainment is here to stay”. Producers: TRU-G Productions LLC, USUALLY ION DO THIS MUSIC, Cash Jordan, and Twanbeatmaker. Label: T.A.L.I. Ent.

Rebecca James (@RebeccaJames_) – 1000 Roses (Music Video)

rb

Rebecca James “1000 Roses” will be released on 8th December via Soundbox Music.

Rebecca James is a genuine home-grown musical talent… let’s get that one out of the way. Having wowed the judges aged just 14 with her rendition of Christina Aguilera’s You Lost Me at the UK Open Mic competition; she’s gone on to build a solid live performance resume having supported the incredible Joan Armatrading, performed at London’s prestigious O2 Arena and after performing at the O2 Academy Islington, was deemed as “one the outstanding performances of 2014” by Jar Music Live.

Her debut release Thinkin’ Bout Me was featured on BBC radio’s ‘Introducing’ and received support from 1xtra, Reprezent and Mi-Soul in addition to community stations across the UK. Online, Rebecca also won over the likes of Digital Spy, RWD and That Grape Juice.

While remaining true to Rebecca’s acoustic/songwriting roots, her forthcoming release 1000 Roses turns the notch up to the next level. Alongside desk-man-of-the-moment Slinky on production duties, Rebecca is a sure bet to be one of the key names to watch as the year draws to an end and gives way to 2015.
