Chicago teen singer Yemi Marie already is demonstrating that she has the talent and determination it takes to conquer the world of entertainment.

The 16-year-old makes her debut with the CD 12/11/12, which was inspired by her goal of finishing her first album at the age of 15. The disc, which boasts a blend of mature vocalized R&B along with a youthful, upbeat hip-hop-infused style, has launched Yemi Marie into the hearts of music lovers of all ages while setting her apart from her teen peers.

Yemi Marie shared the bill with legendary performer Chaka Khan at The Pavilion at Wolf Lake on Saturday, August 9, 2013. The 16-year-old Chicago artist sang three songs – the catchy, jazzy “Crazy This World,” which she wrote and co-produced; the bouncy “Saturday,” which she co-wrote and co-produced; and her take on Jennifer Hudson’s “Love You I Do” from Dream Girls.
