Born in Chester, PA. Aaron L. Douglas, is now known as A.D. Has always loved music since he was a toddler, but he noticed his love in the 7th grade. A.D. started to become well known for his rap and people often called him by his stage name. Now being brought up in the church, A.D. met up with one of his friends who did gospel rap in church. So then they got together, because his friend’s brothers had a record label called Sinai Records. So A.D. began to perform with this group, Sinai, at many churches and venues in his hometown. One of the biggest being a sold out Grand Opera House Show and a Music Festival with 3000 attended. Experimenting in between he would do songs about social awareness and soul hip hop artist style. The Risk release the video for their latest single “Peaches and Cream”. The quartet that consists of Charlie Healy, Andy Merry, Derry Mensah and Ashford Campbell have taken on the 112 classic and made it their own.
The Risk appeared on The X Factor in 2011 and have been busy touring since. They have worked hard over the last 18 months to develop a sound and image that doesn’t represent every other boy band in the UK. They hold the record for doing more Club PA’s than any other band to come from the X-factor.
The 112 track, featuring Diddy, was an international club hit, and is still on many DJ’s playlists. The fact that it hasn’t been covered, made it the perfect track for The Risk to work with. New 808s, sub bass and strings have brought this track to a new decade.
