hiphopnd

The music industry as we knew it has changed. It has become more and more independently fueled by the day and HipHopND.com and the ND brand is the cornerstone of this movement!

A new website has launched and fully supports independent artist and hiphop fans. The site which is located at http://HipHopND.com offers new music, interviews & videos from TRUE independent recording artists from all genres.

HipHopND is a user friendly site that is favored by independent artist and music fans that love new music from artist that have yet to be  discovered. This site will always be the first to introduce the ever changing sound and visuals that start at the underground level of the hip-hop culture. With just one click, visitors are afforded the many jewels that are hidden deep in the underground waiting to be discovered. This site offers viewers high quality music, interviews & videos from the most dedicated, hardest working people in the industry, “The Independent Artist.” HipHopND will keep visitors fully immersed with the option to choose the genre of independent artist videos that you would like to watch which are located at www.RNBND.com, www.POP-ND.com, www.ROCK-ND.com with the addition of GOSPELND and COUNTRYND still to be added.

“There were no websites solely catering to music fans that wanted to see what it was like to start from the bottom, in most cases you only see the glitz and glamour but never the grind that was put in before all the hard work paid off” It’s not easy to make a ‘major’ impact in the music industry and we understand how challenging it could be trying to compete with a major artist who has a big budget and major label backing so we created HipHopND.com where we believe in the Independent way of life – and we promise we won’t mix the two we are solely committed to the independent artist and labels and we will continue to play 100% independent artist videos 100% of the time”, says the founder KB. Barrell.

HipHopND’s goal is to become the ultimate website for independent artist and labels with all the tools they will need to make the independent grind a little bit easier, everything the independent artist will need will be under one roof, one click will open up so many doors.”

Big Toast (of TPS Fam) – Graveyard Shift (via @revorgrecords)

To mark the new year and the upcoming 2014 takeover, Revorg Records have dropped a free single to get rap fiends clucking for the new TPS album due for release in February.

Graveyard Shift is a solo single from TPS representative Big Toast. It documents the rapper’s double life, working a day job to pay the bills, then once that is finished, taking on the persona of emcee and record label founder, Big Toast. Over a moody, Strange Neighbour beat setting the tone with harsh snares and a gritty sample, Toast describes his life of unrewarding, poorly paid work funding the career he truly cares about. It is an intelligent and candid alternative to the cartoonish fantasy of mainstream rap.

As well as writing and performing the track, Toast also directed and edited the video. The single is available for free download from Bandcamp, which includes the instrumental and accapella for any producers looking to remix the track. For further information go to revorg.co.uk or facebook.com/toast.baseddinners or on twitter @revorgrecords

Clap_For_Me__Video_Cover

Dion Jetson, Broadway and SeVen1 collaborated on the powerful punch-line anthem “Clap For Me” last year and now bring a visual for the Canei Finch produced song. The video matches the energy of the track, which was a fan favorite since its release in September of 2013. Directed by Floating Photograph, the visual was filmed at several locations including the filmed at Chicago’s iconic Regal Theater and Vic Theater. The director makes the visual stand out with crisp editing and an artistic flair that make the punch lines in the song impact even more. The three artists and director come together to set the tone for what should be a powerful 2014 for everyone involved in the video. Dion Jetson’s upcoming project The Ear & The Heart is scheduled for a first quarter 2014 release.
