When you hear “VA”, is your initial thought “Virginia”, the historic state nestled between Maryland & Washington D.C. (DMV) and the Carolinas? When you hear “Mobster”, are you inclined to think “Gangster”, “Goon”, “Thug”, or general negativity? VA the Mobster has arrived, challenging you to think deeper.
Hailing from the Washington, DC suburb of Arlington, Virginia, VA was given his name after a move down south to Smiths Station, AL. Growing up in a poverty stricken neighborhood, his hunger and determination was honed through writing, producing, performing, and strengthening his business acumen. Music became his outlet. The stage was set for VA to become the Mobster.
As an artist, VA the Mobster is the voice behind numerous underground mix-tapes including “Dear Haters”, “New Face”, “Perfect Play”, and “Money Talks”. VA has performed at various venues across Atlanta such as Club Crucial, Club Obsessions, and The Ritz, garnering enough buzz to open up for nationally and internationally known acts such as Dem Franchize Boyz, Lil’ Boosie, Young Dro, Travis Porter, Gucci Man, and recently Future.
With his recent hit “F.I.G.I.T” off his highly anticipated mix-tape “FuckItGiveIt2em”, VA is setting ablaze his path into the industry; Setting the stage for a movement to be on the watch for.
Next time you hear VA the Mobster you’ll know it’s not a state of negativity; it’s an artist and businessman from the streets whose state of mind only knows one way “By any means necessary”. VA the Mobster is ready; the question is, are you?
