Curtusee – “Don’t Know About Me” (@Iam_curtusee @mikeellisspeaks @LakeGangOrDrown)

For Detroit, Michigan’s rising star Curtis Ellison III, music means everything! Fresh out the Midwest, to the Westcoast, hot new artist Curtusee aka The Underworld Prince delivers his brand new record “Don’t Know About Me”.

Curtusee is one the public and the music industry have yet to see and meet. His music reflects who is now and what he wants to become. His first experience at the age of 7 was a rap freestyle contest in April of 2000. Giving his absolute best on that performance and winning by a land slide, he was on his way. He posses a new found sound and holds a style of his own.

His very first single called “Sweetest Chic”, attracted a more mature audience, which amazed him as well as others. Recently he went on a 3 week stay to sunny California where he made contact with Ricky Donnell Ross (known as Freeway Rick-the Real Rick Ross), who is also making a name for himself. Curtusee encountered Mr. Ross speaking to youths about his life transformation, along with the making of his reality show. Mr. Ross wants to team with young Cash Curt in assisting him with promotions and getting his career to the next level.

Herléo (@herleomuntu) – Zoba

VALEUR D’OR is the name of HERLÉO’s new album that contains thirteen original songs, each of them more melodious than the last. The album, VALEUR D’OR, is definitely an ode to love, central idea of this fourth opus from HERLÉO, available May 16. All of HERLÉO comes together through the thirteen pieces of VALEUR D’OR, and you will feel how complete he became. He is going back and forth between completely different styles in order to give us this world album, with Afro and Latino influences.

The first sibgle, Zoba, is written entirely (music and lyrics) by HERLÉO. It is a festive and unifying song with a committed text as is usual with HERLÉO . Indeed, it denounces various ills that affect Congolese society, his native country, and raises his compatriots for a change of mentality

This first song kicks off HERLÉO’s album VALEUR D’OR. VALEUR D’OR is a joyful and relaxed album, where love is celebrated in different ways by its lyricist-composer-performer.

Directed by Raymond Kashiba, this fourth opus, with folk/Afro pop flavor, is way less political and much more social. This tendency is reflected in the song ENFANT SORCIER (that brings out the child abuse phenomenon, very common in Africa); a title written during a writing and inspirational trip in Africa, like all songs of the album. Furthermore, HERLÉO’s fans will discover a brand new www.herleo.net, revamped to be simple but efficient, where they can have updates on the artist’s world.

In Canada, the album will be only available in digital version. Only 2000 physical editions will be on sale, after the artist’s shows. Everywhere abroad it will also be in digital version, except in some major Capitals in Africa, where VALEUR D’OR will be launched. It is also the first album since his recent signing with American record label, Sugo Music

HERLÉO will be available for sale on May 12 and its official release will be on June 14 in Montreal and in Quebec City on June 28.

HERLÉO is available for some interviews. If you have any questions, or you would like to set up an interview, please contact his press secretary.

About Herléo:
He has four albums to his credit and he has performed hundreds of shows in both, Canada and abroad. He is finalist in the 2009 Trille Or awards in four categories such as best album, best male artist, best lyricist-composer-performer and best video clip. He is recipient of the 2011 COCAN Awards price for best album. He is also finalist, in 2013, in the African Entertainment Awards of Toronto for the Best Male Artist category. Then he wins the 2014 Best Album of African diaspora of Ontario. Herléo made it again In 2015, by being nominated at the Trille Or awards for “Most Successful Franco-Ontarian Artist or Group outside the Province”.

“It’s a love song but it’s also an on the brink of a being a break up song, it’s not sad, it’s not happy, it’s just brutally honest and in the moment..but the beat has it so that the overall feeling is uplifting” Emmaline

The video for waiting was shot at Defient studios and shows the everyday process of recording a song “These days people want to see you being you as much as they want to see you as an artist I feel. We just wanted to show us all being regular and doing what we do naturally.”Emmaline

Prior to her EP release Emmaline will be releasing her next single Trouble on iTunes. Stay tuned for this one! In the meantime head to YouTube to check out the video for ‘Waiting’ or download the song free on Soundcloud.
