Herléo (@herleomuntu) – Zoba

VALEUR D’OR is the name of HERLÉO’s new album that contains thirteen original songs, each of them more melodious than the last. The album, VALEUR D’OR, is definitely an ode to love, central idea of this fourth opus from HERLÉO, available May 16. All of HERLÉO comes together through the thirteen pieces of VALEUR D’OR, and you will feel how complete he became. He is going back and forth between completely different styles in order to give us this world album, with Afro and Latino influences.

The first sibgle, Zoba, is written entirely (music and lyrics) by HERLÉO. It is a festive and unifying song with a committed text as is usual with HERLÉO . Indeed, it denounces various ills that affect Congolese society, his native country, and raises his compatriots for a change of mentality

This first song kicks off HERLÉO’s album VALEUR D’OR. VALEUR D’OR is a joyful and relaxed album, where love is celebrated in different ways by its lyricist-composer-performer.

Directed by Raymond Kashiba, this fourth opus, with folk/Afro pop flavor, is way less political and much more social. This tendency is reflected in the song ENFANT SORCIER (that brings out the child abuse phenomenon, very common in Africa); a title written during a writing and inspirational trip in Africa, like all songs of the album. Furthermore, HERLÉO’s fans will discover a brand new www.herleo.net, revamped to be simple but efficient, where they can have updates on the artist’s world.

In Canada, the album will be only available in digital version. Only 2000 physical editions will be on sale, after the artist’s shows. Everywhere abroad it will also be in digital version, except in some major Capitals in Africa, where VALEUR D’OR will be launched. It is also the first album since his recent signing with American record label, Sugo Music

HERLÉO will be available for sale on May 12 and its official release will be on June 14 in Montreal and in Quebec City on June 28.

HERLÉO is available for some interviews. If you have any questions, or you would like to set up an interview, please contact his press secretary.
