The Loft Club (@TheLoftClubBand) – “Heart’s Desire”

Here’s the official video for The Loft Club’ “Heart’s Desire”, directed by Alice Deuchar and available now through Lightyear Entertainment/Caroline.

Consisting of Daniel Schamroth, Jamie Whyte, Kieran Chalmers and Amy O’Loughlin, The Loft Club are a brand new British Indie band, hailing from Exeter, Devon. Their debut EP was released last October, also entitled ‘Heart’s Desire’. The EP was recorded with producer Jolyon Holroyd at Valvetastic Studios, and mixed in LA by Kevin Dippold.

The band’s debut album is due for release in 2017.

Gorillaz (@Gorillaz) – “NOODLE”

The comeback of Gorillaz has so far included stories with each of the animated band’s members, a Jaguar sponsorship, and interviews with Noisey and High Snobiety. Today, Gorillaz posted a new mix on Soundcloud, helmed by Noodle, the group’s bassist. It doesn’t contain any tracks from the new album, which has been promised by the band’s co-creator Damon Albarn. However, it does feature great music from Grimes, Kali Uchis, Abra, Mica Levi & Oliver Coates, Empress Of, Fatima Al Qadiri, and more. Interspersed between the songs are clips of interviews with electronic music pioneer Delia Derbyshire and deaf percussionist Evelyn Glennie.

In the Soundcloud description, Noodle wrote that the mix is a tribute to remarkable women artists. “In search of new sounds and new inspiration, I found these kick-ass women who in their own individual ways are true pioneers in the writing, production and creation of MUSIC. They have inspired me, and I hope they inspire you too.”
