This is “Origins Discoveries & Revelations”, my first official independent release. In doing this, I’m sharing with you pieces of the journeys through the music that I take, some of the snapshots; the moments in time that I bring back to the surface. This particular journey contains funk, rock, soul, jazz, psychadelic, african, and even iranian influences and sources. All lensed, translated and transmuted through the minds eye of your very own… I laced and scratched over these pieces with some of the greats, and the pioneers of the hip hop art form. We also touch base on the origins of man and revelations of the future. A native of Ghana in West Africa, singer/songwriter/producer Treesil P’s heritage brings an insightful world view to his tempting blend of techno-soul-rap. The result is a sound that is at once engaging and hypnotic, crossing both geographic and demographic borders.

The fusion of these worlds is the very foundation of his upcoming debut release, Vibe It Up, a CD that explores love, loss and coming of age in the 21st century. Industry heavyweights with more After more than 20 years, GENERAL LEVY returns as lead MC on Pull Up, the new track from UK producer extraordinaire, STICKY

The new track Pull Up has already receiving support from the likes of MistaJam; DJ Target; Ras Kwame and many more “Pull Up” was one of THE anthems at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival where Sticky & General Levy performed at Rampage’s stage amongst others! “Pull Up” is currently playlisted at BBC 1Xtra on B list; Reprezent London A list; Kemet FM Nottingham and more!

General Levy, real veteran of the UK urban music scene, grew up influenced by reggae music and black culture. At the age of 19 that General obtained international recognition, awarded with several prizes: best reggae album, best single for ‘Heat’, and UK premiere MC. Shortly afterwards came General Levy’s song ‘Incredible’ – a monster of a record which achieved worldwide success hitting top ten status in the UK national charts and is still played to this day.

Richard ‘Sticky’ Forbes built his reputation as one of the UK’s leading producers and DJ in the last 20 years. His distinctive sound not only made his music anthemic in the clubs, but also help launch the careers of a number of the UK’s leading talents including the Mercury Award Winning Ms. Dynamite.

Forget previous imp releases, Neon Creativity is much different. Lazer beam lyricism, precisely urgent hooks, over hypnotic trance-like infectious beats. A six song teaser of sorts, Neon Creativity is like that ride at the amusement park that you never want to exit, and just wish it lasted longer. The production is simply top notch, with beats by imperfekt, King Schmidt and a solid keyboard solo by Matt Sawicki, who also mixed and mastered the whole thing. And as if the tracks were not already embraced with excellence, the new effort has seemingly flawless featured artists. The songs truly come together and excel because of these artists input. From Indyground’s Farout on “So Good”, to local Cedar Rapids gem Rachel Stickley’s vocals on “Silver and Gold”, the sound meshes just right…Mic Hand ringmaster Imperfekt amazes again, and consistently proves he will not lose a step as he continues to set the bar for Iowa hip hop music.

One of South London’s innovative, credible, authentic and newest up-and-coming artist, D-Kel, builds towards November for the release of his— comparatively—anticipated debut EP Building on November 10th. Featuring soothing vocals, the EP is a festival filling, hands in the air anthem that sees D-Kel in a mellow, reflective mood.

With witted, empathetic rhymes that are slightly ordinary, this brazenly talented emcee brings new life into the music circuit with, perhaps, what is going to be one of the critically celebrated EP from a new South London up-and-coming rapper.
