Your Boy Drew (@boydrewofficial) – Soul Search pt 1

‘Hello again house fans,
For the past little while I took some time to do some reflecting and “soul searching” with some of the things going on in my life at the time. So this mix is from the heart! I came up with this collaboration that plays the ups and downs in any soul search, guy, girl, young, old. We are always on the search for soul!

It starts out with a little tribal afro section. I then bring a track in with a sexy Saxophone at 7:05 that will be sure to bring back some fond memories as it did for me. Then drops the soul funky house that always brings a smile to my face. Kinda reminds me of the music from the big band, swing era of the 1930’s and my favorite TV Show Boardwalk Empire.

Then I slow it down a little bit with a nice house track of Sade – Kiss of Life and somehow Rihanna – Where Have You Been, creeps into the mix. I’m not really sure how it happened but Rihanna is in there to mix it up a little bit, as I never like to keep my music the same. If this was boxing, that would have been a left uppercut! YBD
