AMY_HEF_by_JORDAN_GOODEN1

Saskatchewan-born, Alberta-raised singer songwriter Amy Hef has announced the release of her infectious, straight-talking debut album “AH! AMY HEF” – was released everywhere on October 29th. Combining hook-filled moments with contagious lyrics, the album quite brilliantly yet succinctly defines Hef’s borderless talent. Couple her impressive writing abilities with powerful and melodic vocals, and it’s easy to see why she beat out hundreds of Canadian music hopefuls and turned heads with her grand prize win at the 2012 90.3 AMP Radio Rock Star competition.

The album’s first track “Creepin’ Me Out” is bold, outspoken and somewhat scornful, yet entirely captivating, and it comes as no surprise that it was penned by Hef herself. On Hef’s debut one can expect to hear up-tempo sing-a-long tracks, sung-through power ballads and audacious lyrics with a healthy dose of brazen honesty. Never one to hold back, she spent years working tirelessly to catch the eye of the music industry’s biggest decision makers, and with “AH! AMY HEF” Hef’s bound to do so.

Now splitting her time between Canada and Los Angeles, Hef began her music career as a drummer for Juno-nominated artist Janelle. After fine-tuning her musical skills at the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, earning top honours including the Best Project Award, she went on to record her first self-titled EP, “Amy Heffernan.” Writing and recording with her brother Doug Heffernan, an accomplished writer and producer who has shared studios with Paul Atkinson (ABBA, Judas Priest) and Paul Lani (U2, Elton John, Prince), Hef continued the relentless pursuit of her dream and in 2011 was recognized as one of Music Connection Magazine’s Top 100 unsigned artists.

Additionally, she was chosen as one of the Top 3 Buzz Acts to see during the renowned Canadian Music Week Festival by George Stroumboulopoulos.

With past performances at the San Diego IndiFest, Key Club LA with Everclear, the Worldwide Radio Summit and a Canadian ‘camp’ tour with Bif Naked, Hef has shared the stage with some of the best and brightest musical talent. In addition, she recently had multiple songs featured throughout Season 8 episodes of the popular reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Well-crafted and distinct, Hef’s “AH! AMY HEF” embodies everything that she is, and with dreams and determination as far reaching as one can imagine, there is no doubt that fans and critics alike can expect big things from this artist.

We are very excited to welcome back Miami based DJ/Producer “”Rha Roo”” with his first ever album. Rha Roo produced and dedicated this album to his little brother (Razvan Blaga) who sadly passed away this last summer. He thought that the best way to keep his memory alive, is to create an album that will live on forever. The album spans eleven new tracks ranging from deep house to tech house that will definitely take you on a journey! Every single track is allocated to his family members and his ten year journey to the United States that started in 2003. We hope you enjoy this album and we’re happy to be able to share it with the world!

Born and raised on the mean streets of Romania, Rha Roo, started his musical journey by listening to tapes of Michael Jackson, Madonna and Depeche Mode.
