Yungstar Music Group & CCG Films Presents: Kshaun (@KAYY_YMG) – Molly Rock

bcc59add19c6503a02ccae7ff5438a2d

SC artist, Kshaun finally drops the official music video to his latest street single “Molly Rock”. The visual was directed & filmed by SC cameraman Chad G & Kshaun himself back in November at Francis Marion University and Kshaun’s spot ‘The Zone’. This up & coming Sumter native shows no signs of shying away from the spotlight with his “tripiness of trappiest flows” that many are beginning to acknowledge him for; so get used to him as he introduces his first visual of the New Year. Enjoy.

King Camil (@camilmusic) – #DreamComeTrue (#MLK / #Obama / #BlackHistory #Anthem)

presidentbarackobamafulfillingthedream

The single “Dream Come True” by King Camil samples Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream Speech” and President Obama talking about the significance of his name, but in this song, an emcee captures the hope and happiness people felt when the first black president entered the White House. “Dream Come True” also celebrates King’s vision for a better America and how we’ve gotten closer to that dream, even in difficult, changing times. It’s perfect as a black history anthem and a steady thump of bass and rhymes for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday (reviewed by @TaraBetts).

Pervasive plagiarism is threatening the EDM industry.

Proof2

If you have listened to EDM music over the last 2 years it is quite possible that you have at least once listened to music that has been stolen. Quite often labels get demos that turn out to be blatant rip off’s of lesser know artist’s their genius music pieces. This leaves them to send an email to the original artist who takes it up himself to do something about it or not… because filing claims has to be done by the official copyright owner and can be time consuming and tedious. Often no help is given by social media channels and the original artist draws the short straw.

Now, we are not talking about stuff that is “inspired by” another artist or uses the same riff. We are talking about “Stealing” with a capital S here:

Saving a file from an artist you like (and possibly to some degree identify yourself with), changing the title and adding your artist name, uploading it to youtube or whereever and then emailing labels as if it was your own piece of music.

This is a despicable practice. The lack of respect involved is tremendous.
It betrays a hard working artist somewhere and puts the fruit of his work in another person’s basket.

The case of MODIGS VS BABBINGTN… A DAVID VS GOLIATH story.

We received an email of a fan of EDM producer Modigs (who is signed to Philosophy Recordings), saying that there was a guy named (Jordan)“Babbingtn” and that he has stolen not only Modigs’ his original music… but also his logo.

To our astonishment this was true, leaving us to write an angry letter to Babbingtn, but the more we thought about this story the more we felt we should tell it to people because this stuff happens at least once a month Modigs his label told us after a brief skype call.

Thats right, Modigs’ label, finds stolen tracks at least once a month. This is not normal. This is not something that should be condoned.

The evidence: Judge for yourself:

(Notice how the symbol is an M by the way… it doesnt even seem to fit “Babbingtn”)

Babbingtn renamed it “Pentagram”:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18iwGKYUa9c

Babbingtn has and had been using the music and logo of Modigs for ages, building a solid fanbase of thousands of EDM lovers, 1000’s of people duped into liking an artist based on music that is stolen. Im sure those fans will feel filthy now reading this and I am sorry for them that they have been so misled.

Get this! Babbingtn wasn’t just satisfied with stealing the music of Modigs, he wanted to have his logo as well and so he took that also. Leaving Modigs to work tirelessly to claim copyrights and file forms, spending hours on end to claim what is rightfully his. What is more is, Babbingtn has built up more fans with stolen music than Modigs with his legit music!

It is clear that Modigs deserves the credit Babbingtn took and we hope to have your support to share Modigs his story.

Help us restore integrity in the EDM scene! Post this story on your facebook or twitter or share it with your friends. We need to get attention for this problem that clearly is pervasive in this industry!

Modigs deserves some time in the spotlight for the fantastic music he and he alone produced!

HipHopND is a user friendly site that is favored by independent artist and music fans that love new music from artist that have yet to be  discovered. This site will always be the first to introduce the ever changing sound and visuals that start at the underground level of the hip-hop culture. With just one click, visitors are afforded the many jewels that are hidden deep in the underground waiting to be discovered. This site offers viewers high quality music, interviews & videos from the most dedicated, hardest working people in the industry, “The Independent Artist.” HipHopND will keep visitors fully immersed with the option to choose the genre of independent artist videos that you would like to watch which are located at www.RNBND.com, www.POP-ND.com, www.ROCK-ND.com with the addition of GOSPELND and COUNTRYND still to be added.

“There were no websites solely catering to music fans that wanted to see what it was like to start from the bottom, in most cases you only see the glitz and glamour but never the grind that was put in before all the hard work paid off” It’s not easy to make a ‘major’ impact in the music industry and we understand how challenging it could be trying to compete with a major artist who has a big budget and major label backing so we created HipHopND.com where we believe in the Independent way of life – and we promise we won’t mix the two we are solely committed to the independent artist and labels and we will continue to play 100% independent artist videos 100% of the time”, says the founder KB. Barrell.

HipHopND’s goal is to become the ultimate website for independent artist and labels with all the tools they will need to make the independent grind a little bit easier, everything the independent artist will need will be under one roof, one click will open up so many doors.”
