Braddy (@Braddy478) – ATTENTION (Prod. By @KarltinBankz)

ATTENTION

EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it, “Attention” is Hot and NO ONE can doubt it. Attention! Attention! The new singe from Macon Georgia recording artist Braddy is exactly what the Hip Hop industry needs. “Not your typical twerk or bubblegum rap” states @HipHopEncounter. Attention features production credits from Dem White Boyz also known as Karltin Bankz (Doe B, Hustle Gang) hailing from Alabama.

If you’re sensitive or “in your feelings” then you may feel some type of way about the record say’s Braddy in a recent interview. “Yes I think that a record like this is much need in the industry considering what’s going on with the music scene. I’m mainly talking about the “Flexin” everybody doing, or the constant need to be seen. I’m from a city where flexin can you hurt. I get it, I get it. Ok sometimes it’s alright to turn up a bit, to show off a lil. But me personally I keep it to a minimum. Usually when or if I do go out to the club I’m usually cooling in the back or on the pool table. I be seeing these guys doing their lil “dance” and I just shake my head. ”

When asked if anyone had anything to say about the record Braddy replied. “Negatively? No. not at all. I don’t have those types of problems.” “Most of my fans said I should’ve went even harder on these attention wh***s. People love it, and I love the support and feedback I’ve been getting from the record. ” If you real, you rocking with the record, but if you one of the “Attention Seekers” then this one may not be for you.

The single is one of the many blazing records that Braddy has set to be released from his 2014 project Episode 2 “Untitled”. Braddy stated “As a contest, I’m allowing my fans to title it. My styles go from hood, to gutta, to romantic to traditional Hip Hop and to “box” myself in with a title would only brand me as a certain type, and I am all of those types and more.”

Ronnie Fox (@officialrfox1) – Middle Fingers

Attachment(1)

New York based songwriter, producer and do-it-yourself indie artist Ronnie Fox says, “It’s cool to be cool again,” as he prepares the final mixes for his upcoming album entitled, Rebirth of the Cool.

Although the album isn’t due out until later in 2014, he’s giving his fans a sneak-peak at two of the debut’s singles, “Middle Fingers” and “Write This Down.”

Both singles showcase Fox’s unique and uncanny collision of house, pop, dance, hip hop and world music. The upcoming album will reflect Ronnie’s life as a Renaissance man, and an artist with a keen interest in spreading a positive vibe to a wider audience. However, Fox retains the artistic ability to deliver an emotional message within his music.

Ronnie explains, “My creative goal on Rebirth of the Cool is to wrap classic hip-hop rhyme schemes together with the current pop/radio culture of the genre.” While accomplishing this goal, Fox is also able to maintain a lyrical craft that offers an emotive energy that is at times fun and party-like, and at other times deep and introspective.

Rebirth of the Cool is slated to have ten tracks when released, with storylines ranging from the hardships of a dying soldier, to a conversation between a terminally ill mother and her son. “In the end, Rebirth of the Cool will take what used to be cool about hip-hop and make it cool again,” offers Fox.

For now, fans are getting a sneak peek of the album with the release of “Middle Fingers” which went to radio February 11th, 2014. The single is an addictive, melodic and fun fusion of house and hip-hop with a fast flow. While “Middle Fingers” is getting the party started, the follow-up single, “Write This Down” is due out in May, 2014. Both songs are setting the stage for Fox. After all, the fox has always known to be smart, resourceful and cunning. Through his music, this Fox has found a way for communications across generations … that’s one sly Fox.

Joe & Box (@Joe_Box) – Never Grow Up

Never_Grow_Up_Cover

Joe & Box is a Hip Hop duo out of NJ. We are a pair of goofy best friends who lead the Swine movement and live by the phrase Fuck Being Ordinary. Our influences, Outkast, Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, Eminem, and many more have helped mold us into the artists we are today. We take pride in our technical lyrical skill, our content, and our song making ability. In the end, we just want to give the world something real.

Our debut album Never Grow Up is a journey into the minds of two 90’s kids. Throughout the album we’re battling with the fact that the world is telling us that we need to grow up. Some of the songs discuss the process of growing up, whether it be being forced to give up dreams or worry about money. Others focus on clinging to the childish things like our imaginations and partying. Ultimately, we decide to Never Grow Up. We believe that we can keep our dreams, imagination, and free-spirit, while still becoming the adults we have grown to be.

BigBeatz ft. @BigTrayDeee – They Rather Kill Me (Prod. By @BeatzCommittee)

Here’s the brand new record from BigBeatz entitled “They Rather Kill Me” featuring Big Tray Deee, produced By Beatz Committee.

Matthew Schultz (@mschultz33) ft. Alessia Guarnera (@alessiaguarnera) – Crazy Heart

mschultz_3

Crazy Heart is a laid-back but emotive hip-hop ballad about a troubled relationship, propelled by funky acoustic guitar and snappy finger clicks. It builds gradually, we don’t hear a kick drum enter until two minutes in, and grabs your attention from the start. Rather than huge layers of production, Crazy Heart lets the song do the talking, the vocals taking prominence over a fairly sparse but effective backing.

Vocal duties are shared with the breathy, soulful voice of Alessia Guarnera, who brings to mind a cross between Janis Joplin and Rihanna. Alessia, from Brooklyn, New York, is the daughter of producer Armando and a singer-songwriter in her own right. She carries the memorable hook of the song, which it begins with, singing poignant lines such as ‘You build me up, you break me down, I never know my place…’.

Her high-register vocals are contrasted nicely by Schultz’ deep, gravelly tones, who details two lovers in turmoil in the verses. The lyric depicts two people very much in love, but struggling to remain faithful in the face of temptation.

Permit me, here, to introduce Rich iCoast. This Bronx native is as uncompromising as the stoic poise with which he lobs his lines; pregnant with meaning. Without reservation, Rich iCoast is a talented “wordsmith”. It is this resourcefulness that allows him the courage to play with the music, rhymes and rhythms that aptly portray the realities of his immediate surroundings. You listen to his music and it communicates an authenticity that is life in New York City. In his voice you hear that distinct, incredulous flavor with which he mixes his bars… by exploiting the color and tone of sound.
